A Message from Executive Director Denetria Moore Regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) Preparation and Support
What can I say? 2020 has started out presenting situations and challenges no one ever thought our world would face. Nonetheless, I am proud to say that Girl Talk, Inc. remains thoroughly committed to our mission no matter what hurdles arise.
Although the future may be uncertain, we know that our girls need us now more than ever. Girl Talk, Inc. will continue the great work we do, even if it might look a little more “virtual” for the time being. It is – and always will be – our number one priority to be available to offer support to our girls, their families, our mentors, and our community.
In addition, we remain committed to growth and building upon our strong foundation to expand our capacity to serve. Over the last three months, even in the face of challenge, we have added new staff positions, launched a new organizational strategic plan, and are very much looking forward to celebrating the accomplishments of our 2019-2020 graduating class of Girl Talk girls!
I am so proud of the incredible work we do, and can’t wait to see where we go from here. Please stay tuned for updates from us as we all navigate this unpredictable time together.
